Phone Cheat Sheet
Placing calls
- Place a call using the handset - Pickup the handset and enter a number.
- Place a call using the speaker phone - Press the speaker button and enter a number.
- Redial a number - Press the Redial softkey to immediately dial the number of the last call or press the navigation button to scroll through your placed calls.
- Place a call when another call is active - Press the Hold softkey then press New Call softkey and enter the number.
Ending calls
- Ending a call – Either return the handset to the cradle or press the EndCall softkey.
- Putting calls on hold and resuming calls that are on
hold
- Put a call on hold – Make sure that the
appropriate call is highlighted then press the Hold
softkey
- Remove a call from hold on the current line – Make sure that the appropriate call is highlighted then press the Resume softkey
- If you need to pick up another line, you can do so without placing the first line on hold. Once you pick up another line, the first is automatically placed on hold. Simply select the first line then press the Resume softkey to to return to the first caller.
Transferring calls
- Transfer a call without talking to the transfer recipient – From an active call press the Transfer softkey then enter the target number then press the Transfer softkey again or EndCall to cancel
- Talk to the transfer recipient before transferring a call – From an active call press the Transfer softkey then enter the target number wait for the transfer recipient to answer then press the transfer again to complete the transfer or EndCall to cancel.
- Transfer two current calls to each other (direct transfer) without staying on the line – Scroll to highlight any call on the line then press select. Repeat the process for the second call or with one of the calls highlighted press the DirTrfr softkey( to display DirTrfr. You might need to press the More softkey) Note: if you want to stay on the line with the callers, use the Join softkey instead.
- Transfer a call directly to someone’s voicemail – Press the Transfer softkey then dial
* then the number for the new voice mail system or 6 then the number for the old voicemail system then press the Transfer softkey again or hang up.
Forwarding all calls to another number
- Setup call forwarding on your primary line – Press the CFwdALL softeky and enter a target phone number
- Cancel call forwarding on your primary line – Press the CFwdAll fotkey
Conference calls
- Create a conference call by calling participants or add new participants to an exsiting conference call – From a connected call, press the Confrn softkey (You may need to press the more softkey to see Confrn) then enter the Participants phone number wait for the call to connect then press the Confrn softkey again to add the participant to your call repeat to add additional participants
- Create a conference by joining two or more existing
calls – Make sure that you have two or more calls on a
single line then highlight a call that you want to add
to the conference then press the Select softkey repeat
the press for each call that you want to add. From one
of the selected call press the Join softkey (you may
need to press the more softkey to see Join)
- Create a conference by barging a call on a shared line – Highlight a call on a shared line and press the cBarge softkey (you may need to press the more softkey to display cBarge)
- View a list of conference participants - Highlight an active conference then pres the ConfList softkey
- Drop the last part added to the conference – Press the RmLstC softkey
- Remove any conference participant – Highlight the participants name then press the Remove Softkey
